According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Harvey Barnes from Leicester City this summer.
Spurs are also thought to be interested in signing Barnes’ Leicester teammate James Maddison.
According to the Daily Mail, Leicester will not part ways with Barnes or Maddison unless they earn a £40 million fee for both players this summer.
Barnes’ current contract with the Foxes is slated to expire in 2025, therefore the club will be in no rush to offload him despite their relegation to the Championship,Leicester’s nine-year reign in the Premier League came to an end last weekend.
While Leicester City defeated West Ham United 2-1 at the King Power Stadium, Everton came away with all three points against AFC Bournemouth,Leicester finished the season two points behind Sean Dyche’s team.
Will Harvey Barnes leave Leicester City this summer?
With the Foxes poised to compete in the Championship later this year, it would be a surprise if they were able to keep Barnes in the upcoming transfer window.

The winger has shown throughout his career that he is more than capable of having an impact in the Premier League, so Spurs’ desire is reasonable.
Barnes found the back of the net 13 times for Leicester in the Premier League during the 2022/23 season, and he also contributed one assist at this level.
In total, the 25-year-old has been directly involved in 60 goals in 146 games in the Premier League.
Leicester should keep to their present £40m valuation for Barnes because by compelling a possible bidder to pay this sum, they may reinvest some of the proceeds in their squad ahead of the 2023/24 season.
