Bayern Munich have reportedly joined AC Milan and unnamed two Premier League sides monitoring Torino defender, Alessandro Buongiorno and will table a bid for him after the end of the season.
January has seen Stefano Pioli’s Milan made Buongiorno a top transfer target. However, despite President Urbano Cairo’s insistence, Torino are hesitant to sell the 24-year-old.
The Granata anticipate a bidding war for their captain next summer, having set their asking price at €40 million.
According to Tuttosport as reported by Football Italia, clubs interested in Buongiorno include Bayern. After Matthijs de Ligt was injured in December 2023, the Bavarians reportedly began talks with Torino.
However, since Torino are not willing to sell, the Bavarians are prepared to pick up the talks again in the summer.
According to the report, Buongiorno’s transfer market will intensify following the Euros. With Milan, Bayern, and two Premier League clubs vying for the Azzurri center back.
The Torino contract for Buongiorno expires in June 2028. As a graduate of the team’s academy, he turned down a summer transfer to Atalanta.
