Bayern Munich are reportedly in pole position to sign RB Leipzig attacker, Dani Olmo in the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old forward has a €60 million release clause in his contract, which is active until July 20.
Olmo has already said that he is very much considering moving to his boyhood club, Barcelona, this summer. It is even claimed that manager Hansi Flick prefers the versatile attacker to Athletic Club winger, Nico Williams.
Any deal for Olmo would probably have to wait though, given the Catalans’ preference for Williams and they have to make some sales before being able to sign.
According to SPORT, as reported by Barca Universal. Bayern are now in the lead to sign Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig this summer given the current circumstances.
First off, it is believed that the Bavarian giants have the money needed to complete the signing of the Spaniard immediately.
Furthermore, despite the fact that his release clause expires in less than a week, it is alleged that Leipzig will stick to the €60 million clause.

While at RB Leipzig, Max Eberl, the sporting director of Bayern Munich, included that clause to Olmo’s contract and is now pushing for the transfer for the Spaniard.
In addition, Olmo, who wants to play for Barça, believes that Bayern is a crucial step in his career. After having a great UEFA Euro 2024 campaign, he is said not to be prepared to wait for the Catalan team to address all of their issues.
