Bayern Munich chief Max Eberl express the club’s top brass faith in Vincent Kompany after being battered by Barcelona.
The Bundesliga team, which has a stellar record in the tournament’s group stages, was severely outclassed by the Spanish powerhouses, who are being led by their former manager Hansi Flick. Bayern was unable to respond to Barcelona’s four goals in the Nou Camp.

Bayern has to improve in the tournament after Kompany’s team suffered its second defeat in three European games as manager. Thomas Tuchel’s resignation infuriated the club’s supporters, who did not all agree with the Belgian’s apointment.
However, following a tough defeat, Bayern’s management maintains that they support their present course and have no plans to alter it.
The Belgian himself denied the charges that Kompany’s team was playing too openly defensively.
He said: We didn’t do everything right today, otherwise we wouldn’t lose 4-1. We must learn from this game and see what we can do better. That’s what will happen.”
He brought up how his team’s tight defense had won them accolades, only to have it fall apart in Spain.
They are currently in 23rd place, which is good enough to give them a chance to make it to the round of 16, reports Mirror.
