Bayern Munich have submitted an official bid for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
The defending Bundesliga winners are offering €70 million with add-ons for the England captain. The 29-year-old’s current contract with the Premier League team has one year left.
Kane is at the top of Bayern’s priority list as they search for a new striker this summer under the direction of Thomas Tuchel.
Meanwhile, Kane has been a Manchester United target since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was manager. Interestingly, current boss Erik ten Hag is also a known admirer.
Manchester City previously explored the possibility of signing him two years ago before going on to complete a deal for Erling Haaland the following summer.
Last season, Kane’s contract talks with Tottenham were put on hold as he concentrated on trying to aid the team’s return to the Champions League.

Spurs missed out on playing in Europe entirely, though, as a result of a turbulent season, finishing in seventh place.
In February, when he scored his 267th goal for the team, he broke Jimmy Greaves’ all-time Tottenham goalscoring record. The next month, he also broke the goal scoring record for England.
Despite this, he has failed to win a trophy at the national or international level.
