Bayern Munich Star Blames Harry Kane For Champions League Failure

After Bayern Munich’s 2-1 loss to Inter Milan, Thomas Muller shockingly cast the finger at teammate Harry Kane, blaming the England striker for a crucial miss in the opening half. After a close setback to the Italian side, Vincent Kompany’s team has a daunting task in the Champions League quarter-final second leg.,

Inter scored through Lautaro Martinez and Davide Frattesi after Muller equalized, but things could have been different if former Tottenham star Kane hadn’t fumbled a great opportunity from close range with the score at 0-0.

Kane was passed in by Michael Olise inside the box in the 25th minute, with the goal gaping from roughly six yards away, a position from which the two-time Premier League golden boot winner is expected to score. Reported By Mirror News.

But Kane took it first, and his shot hit the edge of the far post before rebounding away for a goal kick.

It proved costly, as Martinez broke the deadlock just over ten minutes later, giving Inter the advantage, and Muller believed he had secured a late equaliser after tapping home from Konrad Laimer’s cross.

“Inter have good players with the ball who are able to take the pace off the game and slow it down, then play long balls to their strikers.

“They have experienced and physical players – it wasn’t a walk in the park and we didn’t expect it to be. We created chances in the second half but unfortunately couldn’t convert them.”
