Following his recent incident with teammate Leroy Sane, a number of Bayern Munich players are said to have cut ties with Sadio Mane.
It was discovered immediately after Bayern’s Champions League quarterfinal first leg loss to Manchester City. That the former Liverpool player had hit Sane in the locker room following the final whistle at the Etihad Stadium.
Following a fine from his present employers, Mane was not included in the matchday squad for their 1-1 home draw with Hoffenheim on Saturday.
The 31-year-old’s role as one of Bayern’s main players looked obvious after he netted six goals in his first 14 Bundesliga games. The Senegalese forward, though, was having trouble finding his rhythm when he suffered an injury at the beginning of November.
This prevented him from playing in the World Cup. He eventually returned at the end of February.
His high-profile incident hasn’t done anything to lessen pressure on him after receiving criticism for his performances after returning to the first squad. And it now may result in him leaving the German outfit after only one season.
According to a recent update on Mane’s condition from Sky Germany as reported by Liverpool Echo, the squad has ‘distanced itself’ from the high-heeled forward. And now views the 2019 UEFA Champions League winner ‘critically’ after his altercation with Sane.

Mane is now a “candidate” to be moved in the forthcoming transfer window, according to the report. Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel declared he has “no plans” to keep working with his team’s summer signing.
