Bayern Munich are reportedly planning to include a “buy-back clause” that might keep Manchester United out of the running to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham this summer.
With only a few weeks remaining in the summer transfer window, Kane’s future in north London is still up in the air.
Rumors had it that Tottenham owner Joe Lewis had reportedly told Daniel Levy that the striker will need to be sold if a new deal cannot be reached. Kane has just a year left on his current contract. Which means he may go for free the following summer.
With Kane still being regarded as one of the top attackers in the world, Tottenham are eager to avoid that situation. However, the 29-year-old has demonstrated little desire to sign a contract extension. Reportedly reigniting interest from both United and Bayern.
Tottenham would prefer not to sell to a rival like the Red Devils. But Bayern have not yet been able to match Spurs’ asking price.
The Bundesliga champions, meanwhile, are apparently contemplating a fresh offer that would persuade Levy to part with Kane this summer.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio as claimed by Daily Express, Bayern are thinking about incorporating a “buy-back clause” in their next bid for Kane. After two or three years, the clause may be activated, which is said to be a factor which would “satisfy Levy.”

The Spurs chairman has been reticent to consider the idea of Kane being sold this summer.
The England international has not yet indicated a wish to leave the club. But he will have to play at Tottenham without competing in the Champions League or any other European competition next season.
