One among the numerous British people who stood in line for several hours to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II was football megastar, David Beckham.
Many people have flocked to London to see Queen Elizabeth II as she lies in state at Westminster Hall. The whole of Great Britain continues to mourn her passing.
On Friday afternoon, Beckham, who arrived at 2am, was spotted among the crowds. He discussed why he thought it was appropriate to make such a gesture.
“Her Majesty meant so much in so many different ways,” he told ITV News. “I can speak on my behalf from the amount of times I was able to meet her through my career.

“I was so lucky that I was able to have a few moments like that in my life to be around Her Majesty.
“The most special moment for me was to receive my OBE. I took my grandparents with me who were huge royalists.
“I was very lucky, I always wanted to represent my country so to represent my country, to be captain of my country and every time we stood there and we wore those three lions shirts and we sang God Save The Queen, that was something that meant so much to us.”
