Tensions in the Belgium camp appear to be reaching a breaking point as their World Cup dreams hang in the balance.
After their humbling loss to Morocco, players Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard are said to have gotten into a fight in the locker room.
Romelu Lukaku was called upon to intervene and break up the incident.
Despite coming in as one of the tournament favourites, Belgium have massively disappointed so far at the 2022 World Cup.
De Bruyne, Hazard and Lukaku are among a “golden generation” of stars who were widely expected to win silverware before retirement.
But with time running out and several of the team now past their peak, Roberto Martinez’s team are on the verge of falling flat in Qatar after a pair of troubling performances.
They were second best against Canada last week but Michy Batshuayi’s well-taken volley was enough to see them come away with the three points.
A similar performance ensued against Morocco on Sunday. However, the North African outfit managed to punish them with second-half goals from Romain Saiss and Zakaria Aboukhlal.

“I think our chance was 2018. We have a good team, but it is ageing.”
After the game, during which De Bruyne played well below his best and Belgium’s defence struggled to contain Morocco’s livelier stars, various reports indicate that a fight broke out in the dressing room.

According to RTL, it was between De Bruyne, Hazard and Jan Vertonghen with Lukaku required to break up the spat.
Hazard was allegedly giving Belgium’s defenders an earful about their lack of pace with Vertonghen closing in on his 36th birthday and Toby Alderweireld now 33.
Belgium’s ageing generation face a crunch clash against Croatia on Thursday which will determine whether or not they make it out of Group F.
