Arsenal have confirmed that star defender Hector Bellerin has signed a new long-term contract to keep him at the club until 2023 worth £100,000 a week.
Bellerin was signed by Arsenal in 2013 from Barcelona’s La Masia academy and he has since emerged through the Gunners’ youth system to become their first-choice right-back.
The Spaniard has been strongly linked with an exit from the club within the next 12 months with Barcelona and Manchester City both thought to be extremely keen on acquiring his signature.
However, he has put to bed any rumours about his future by putting pen-to- paper on a new long-term contract, the club’s official website confirms.

Bellerin’s six-and-a-half-year deal is understood to have seen the 21-year- old handed a salary increase up to £100,000-a-week.
It makes him one of the highest-paid players at the north London club.
The young defender is currently out with an ankle injury and will be absent for around a month yet, but has shown how important he is having started 54 of Arsenal’s last 57 Premier League games.
