Bellingham Could Stay At Borussia Dortmund Beyond This Season

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly confident they can retain the services of Jude Bellingham beyond this season.

The 19-year-old, now in his third season at the Westfalenstadion has established himself as the club’s standout player and most valuable asset.

Bellingham has made 19 starts in the Bundesliga and Champions League this season, scoring seven goals and assisting on two others.

Meanwhile, there has been continuous speculation about a possible transfer fee for the England international, with an asking price ranging from £80m to £130m.

Bellingham has just over two and a half years left on his contract, and it has been suggested that an exit before 2023-24 is highly likely.

However, according to 90min, club officials believe they can retain Bellingham for the upcoming season.

According to the report, Bellingham may not be “fully determined” to leave the German giants at the conclusion of the season.

This is despite the fact that Real Madrid and a number of Premier League clubs are thought to be keeping a close eye on the situation before making a formal approach.

According to previous reports, Bellingham would want to join Real Madrid if he were to leave Dortmund.

More recently, it has been said that Bellingham has little interest in joining Chelsea, leaving Manchester City, Manchester United, and Liverpool as his feasible options in England’s top flight.

It’s certain that each North-West team will be looking to add another central midfielder in the summer, however it’s not clear if they would be willing to match Dortmund’s asking price.

As per report, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus have all expressed interest in recent months, though the former may be considered an unlikely destination given their rivalry with Dortmund.
