Former Tottenham Hotspur star, Dele Alli has been banished from Besiktas squad which represents a new low for the midfielder.
After making just one appearance for Everton, Alli left the Merseyside club in the summer. And signed a loan deal with the Turkish Super Lig team in an effort to restart his career.
In just his second game for the team, he scored his first goal for Besiktas, capping off a promising debut.
Despite making 15 starts, the 26-year-old hasn’t played since being substituted at halftime of an unusual start against Antalyaspor last month.
In recent games against Ankaragucu and Istanbul Basaksehir, the former MK Dons player was not even called to the squad.
According to Turkish outlet Takvim, the manager, Senol Gunes has totally suspended him for the rest of the season.
After only one week on the job at Besiktas, Gunes laid into the England international, making it plain what he thought of him.
What Did The Manager Say About Alli?
In a downgrading manner, Gunes commented how Alli doesn’t deserve to play for the team again.
“Let’s not discuss Dele Alli as a player, but he is below expectations in terms of efficiency.”
Gunes would later state that Alli “doesn’t deserve to play” when questioned why he was excluded from the squad for the loss to Ankaragucu.

Even Besiktas fans derided the two-time PFA Young Player of the Year when he was replaced in the 28th minute of a cup match against third-tier Sanliurfaspor.
He was among the substitutes on Christmas Day. And when he scored his second goal for the team against Alanyaspor, he performed a hush celebration and covered his ears.
It is improbable that Alli will appear in another Besiktas encounter. Despite having the option to buy him for £6.9 million, the club is unlikely to do so.
