Borussia Dortmund reportedly want to keep Jude Bellingham and are hopeful he will sign a new contract at the club that will make him one of their top earners.
Since leaving his boyhood club Birmingham City in 2020, the 19-year-old England international has thrived for club and country, and he is now one of the world’s most sought-after midfielders.
Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United have all been linked with Bellingham, as have Real Madrid and French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Bellingham and his entourage were reportedly scheduled to meet with Dortmund’s hierarchy earlier this month to discuss the player’s future at the club before the first-team squad flew to Marbella for a mid-season training camp.
The report also stated that Dortmund are 95% certain Bellingham will be asked to leave the club at the end of the season.
However, according to SPORT1 chief reporter Patrick Berger, Bellingham is yet to decide on his future, and Dortmund is willing to extend the midfielder’s contract.
Berger adds that BVB are willing to make the teenager the club’s highest-paid player, but first want to see if he is willing to commit his future to the Bundesliga club.

Bellingham is under contract at Westfalenstadion until the summer of 2025 and is worth around €150m (£133m) to Dortmund.
Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has confirmed that the club has received no bids for Bellingham and believes it would be “stupid” to sell the midfielder.
Although Carlo Ancelotti recently played down rumours that they would make a move for the youngster, it is believed that Real Madrid is currently in the lead in the race for Bellingham’s signature ahead of the summer transfer window.
