According to Football 365, Jarrod Bowen, a forward connected to Liverpool, reportedly attracted a £50 million bid from West Ham during the winter transfer window.
In January 2020, Bowen moved from Hull City to the Hammers for a reported £18 million.
In 187 appearances, he has been a huge success at the London Stadium, tallying 54 goals and dishing out 36 assists.
With his last-minute goal in the Europa Conference League final victory over Fiorentina last season, the 27-year-old has already solidified his status as a club legend.
Bowen has gained a lot of admirers from other places as a result of his success for West Ham in the Premier League and on the European stage.
The England international has been closely associated with Liverpool for a few years, and since Al Ittihad is anticipated to show interest in Mohamed Salah this summer, he might be the perfect substitute.
The Reds will have trouble finding a Salah replacement on the same level, but Bowen has shown he can succeed at a Big Six team during his time at West Ham.
We’re not claiming Liverpool made the offer—though it would make sense if it did
but HITC claims West Ham received a bid for Bowen in January that was roughly £50 million.
According to journalist Graeme Bailey, chairman David Sullivan “did not even consider” the bid before David Moyes’ team “turned down” the offer.
The bidding club is not identified in the report, but it is assumed that they did not “come back with an improved offer” in response to West Ham’s “cle
ar stance.” Liverpool has long admired Bowen and may make a move for him at the end of the current campaign, as was mentioned earlier.

The Reds’ desire to bring the player to Anfield may wane if the German departs at the end of the season, as their interest has evidently increased since Jurgen Klopp joined the team.
Although Manchester United and Arsenal have also expressed interest in the former Hull winger, Liverpool has maintained the strongest connection with him.
Bowen is obviously happy in east London, as evidenced by his recent October signing of a new six-year contract. That or he was practically coerced into signing by Danny Dyer.
After making his Premier League debut in June 2022, the 27-year-old is well-positioned to compete at the European Championship this summer thanks to his 11 goals this season.
