Brazil were booed by their fans after drawing 0-0 against Iraq on Sunday – the second goalless draw the hosts have had at the Olympics in Rio.
The hosts recorded a whopping 20 shots at Iraq’s goal, but only had six of those were on target against their fellow Group A opponents in Brasil.
Brazil failed also to score against South Africa in their first 0-0 draw on Thursday for their opening game of Rio 2016.
Both results have done little to boost the hosts’ confidence of finally clinching the one title – a gold medal at the Olympics – the football powerhouse has never won.
Despite the start of Europe’s top five leagues fast approaching after a summer break, Brazil boast some of the biggest names in world football at the Olympics.
Captained by Barcelona star Neymar, the side have his club teammate Rafinha, new Manchester City signing Gabriel Jesus, much-coveted talent Gabriel Barbosa, Lazio’s Felipe Anderson and Paris-Saint Germain centre-back Marquinhos.
Next up for the Brazilians is a game against Denmark on Thursday.
The Danes top the group after beating South Africa 1-0 courtesy of a goal from 20-year-old Robert Skov.
