Brazil star, Richarlison will “seek psychological help” after sobbing during Brazil’s 5-1 triumph over Bolivia on Saturday.
The 26-year-old Tottenham forward was visibly upset after being replaced during the 71st minute of the World Cup qualifying match at the Mangueirao.
He was unable to score during Brazil’s resounding victory and is currently going through one of his toughest scoring slumps.
Richarlison hasn’t scored for his nation since the World Cup in Qatar, and in 31 Premier League games for Tottenham, he has scored only once.
In July 2022, Spurs acquired the former Watford star in a £60m move from Everton.
Over the past few days, his international teammates have rallied around him, with Matheus Cunha calling him a “great player” and Marquinhos insisting the goals “will come”.
The struggling striker will now seek professional help to solve his woes.
“I’m going to go back to England, to seek psychological help, from a psychologist. To work on my mind,” Richarlison told Brazilian outlet Globo.

“That’s it. Come back stronger. I believe I will be in the next (Brazil) squad, I will work for that. It’s about getting a good streak at Tottenham. This week I’m going to sit down and talk to them, I need a good streak, get the rhythm of the game.”
Richarlison also admitted that he’s been through a “turbulent time in the last five months off the field” because of “people who only had an eye on my money and walked away from me”.
Yet he insists “things are right at home” and is confident of regaining his form.
