Brazil Winger Willian Set To Make Fulham Return

Willian, a Brazil international, is getting closer to rejoining Fulham.

After leaving Olympiakos in December, 36-year-old Willian is now a free agent. Since he doesn’t have a club, he can sign with Fulham before the transfer market closes on Monday.

Willian was seen during Monday’s 2-1 victory over West Ham by Chelsea, reports ESPN.

He spent the 2020–21 season at Arsenal after playing for Chelsea from 2013 to 2020. He joined with Fulham in September 2022 after playing for Corinthians in the 2021–22 season.

He made 67 appearances for the team, scoring 10 goals.

Willian began his career with Corinthians before paying joining Shakhtar Donetsk in August 2007.

He received multiple accolades throughout his six years with the team, including the 2009 UEFA Cup and four Ukrainian Premier League victories.

After a brief stint with Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013, he joined Chelsea, where he won the Premier League and League Cup in his second season in England.

Following his 2011 debut, Willian has played for Brazil in the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cups, the 2015 Copa América, the Copa América Centenario, and the 2019 Copa América, which Brazil won domestically.

Willian is married to Vanessa Martins and is Afro-Brazilian. Valentina and Manuella are their twin daughters.
