Since the beginning of the January transfer window, Brentford striker, Ivan Toney has been a subject of interest from Premier League clubs, particularly Arsenal.
Now, it has been claimed that the Bees have identified his potential replacement should he leave the G-tech Community stadium.
According to CaughtOffside reporter Christian Falk, the Bees are still “very concrete” about the signing of Hoffenheim forward, Maximilian Beier. And they are exploring the possibility of a January transfer.
What Has Been Reported About Brentford’s Toney Replacement?
“There’s still very concrete interest from Brentford in Maximilian Beier. I heard they asked if he wanted to move in the current window,” the German reporter claimed.
“They were open to spending €30m on him but he doesn’t want to go just yet as he’s aware he’s being watched by many Premier League clubs including Burnley, Everton and Liverpool. He wants to see what will happen in the summer.
“At the moment, the release clause that he has in his contract isn’t active in the winter – just for the summer. At which point it will be €32.5m. Not far away from €30m!
“Every year he stays at Hoffenheim it goes down by €2.5m. So it’s getting cheaper and Beier knows he has many chances for the next step but he doesn’t want to make it this winter.”
With 12 goal contributions in 19 games across all competitions. And one assist or goal every 101.91 minutes, the German striker has been on fire this season.

Ivan Toney has been the subject of much documented interest from Arsenal recently. And a report from The Athletic suggests that Thomas Frank’s team needs to keep a close eye on Manchester United.
It appears that plans are being made for the striker to leave after May since his contract is scheduled to expire in the summer of 2025.
