According to today’s Het Laatste Nieuws, Brentford has beaten Chelsea, Newcastle United, and Tottenham in the competition to recruit the 18-year-old.
This past weekend, all parties to the agreement reached a consensus, and the “signature has been signed.”
The Belgian club is reportedly set to collect 12.5% of the proceeds from the attacker’s future sales, with the deal to the Bees reportedly closing for €37 million plus bonuses. They are therefore in line for a “jackpot” with this transaction.
This Jupiler Pro League transaction broke the previous record of €36 million made when Charles De Ketelaere was sold to AC Milan in 2022. According to HLN, Nusa will stay on loan at Club Brugge through the end of the current campaign.
Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri also reports ‘final agreement reached’ between Thomas Frank’s side and Club Brugge for a fee of around €37m for the Norway international’s transfer.
Brentford agreeing a deal for Nusa is a blow for Tottenham, who have been chasing him for the past week or so.
