Brighton Admin Trolls Manchester United With Tweet

After defeating Manchester United 2-1 on Sunday, Brighton celebrated by making fun of the Red Devils on twitter.

The Seagulls had never won at Old Trafford prior to kickoff, but they stormed into a two-goal lead before halftime courtesy of a Pascal Gross brace and went on to win.

Brighton mocked United’s predicament on Twitter after the game, adding insult to injury for their opponents. The tweet attracted well over 180,000 likes.

What Did The Post Say?

After Man City started their championship defense off on the right foot just hours after Manchester United’s loss, this jab will have hurt even more in the red half of Manchester.

Erling Haaland had an outstanding start against West Ham, scoring both goals to lead his team to a 2-0 victory. He acknowledged that even though his performance was still remarkable, he was disappointed that he did not record a hat-trick.

How Did Ten Hag React To The Defeat?

The Manchester United manager told reporters after the game,

“We made mistakes on the ball and organization mistakes in defending,” the manager reflected to reporters after the match. “We have to take the lessons and learn quickly from it.

“Brighton are a decent team, all the compliments, but I look to my team and we should not give two easy goals away.”

“Definitely a setback and real disappointment. I knew from the start it would not be easy.

“It is clear to see the second half we were better in midfield with Eriksen down and Ronaldo up. We created and Rashford had two good chances, it is a shame we did not score.

“I am not satisfied, totally not. We lost and it was not necessary. We should do better.”
