Brighton and Hove Albion are reportedly set for the possible move of manager Roberto De Zerbi to Liverpool ahead of the 2024/25 season.
There has been discussion about De Zerbi taking over as manager of Liverpool in the summer. His approach to football seems to be a perfect fit for Klopp, who declared last month that he will be leaving Anfield at the end of the season.
According to The Daily Mail as reported by Daily Star, Brighton are preparing for the possibility that De Zerbi will leave because numerous European teams are interested in the former Shakhtar Donetsk manager. For his efforts at the Amex Stadium, he has won accolades.
Leading the Seagulls to their first Europa League is part of that. Currently ranked ninth in the Premier League, they are still fighting for a spot in Europe this season.
De Zerbi is also linked with Manchester United due to rumors surrounding Erik ten Hag’s role in the transition of INEOS to Old Trafford. He has nevertheless indicated a desire to stay on at Brighton for a longer period of time.
What Did De Zerbi Say About His Future At Brighton?
Speaking in December, the 44-year-old said: “We are speaking about the new contract but at the moment we are only speaking. At the end we have to analyse the target.
“If the targets are the same as the club’s, it’s an honour for me working in Brighton. I don’t try to reach the higher level. It’s important for me to fix an important target.”

He recently responded to questioning about Liverpool with a shake of the head, insisting: “My focus is just on the last part of the season.
“We are going to compete and to play a historic part of the season. We compete in the Premier League to reach the same target as last season.”
