Bruno Fernandes Appears To Snub Ronaldo In Tense Man Utd Reunion

Bruno Fernandes appeared to give Cristiano Ronaldo a cold reception after reuniting with his Portugal team-mate in the wake of the latter’s bombshell interview with Piers Morgan earlier this week.

In a 90-minute interview with Piers Morgan, the 37-year-old accused United’s management of “betrayal” and claimed he would “never respect” Ten Hag.

United said in a statement on Monday that they would “consider their response after the full facts have been established,” with just snippets from the sit-down released before it airs in full later this week.

However, Ronaldo’s comments are said to have gone down like a lead balloon with both the club’s management and his teammates, many of whom have grown tired of his whining.

United are set to fine Ronaldo two weeks’ pay, which amounts to about £1 million, and are even considering terminating his contract.

United fans have had a first look at how Ronaldo’s interview went down with his teammates after Fernandes was reunited with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner for the first time.

Despite missing the Red Devils’ last two games, against Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup and Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday, Ronaldo had already travelled to Portugal and participated in a training session on Monday.

Fernandes’ reunion with the Portugal team was delayed due to his appearance at Craven Cottage, and things became tense when he ran into Ronaldo for the first time since his shocking interview.

The midfielder appeared to snub Ronaldo’s outstretched hand before reluctantly shaking it and making a sharp comment that left the former Real Madrid star looking stony-faced, before the two exchanged words and Fernandes went on to greet other team-mates in a far more cheerful manner.
