Bruno Fernandes took a dig at Rasmus Hojlund, despite the fact that the Manchester United striker scored the late equaliser against Bournemouth. United earned a point in a 1-1 draw on the south coast on Sunday due to Hojlund’s instinctive finish in injury time.
Antoine Semenyo put the Cherries ahead, and it appeared like they would maintain their 1-0 lead despite being reduced to 10 men after Evanilson was sent off. However, in the 96th minute, Hojlund deflected Manuel Ugarte’s close-range shot into the net to secure a draw.
It was only his fourth goal in 29 Premier League games this season, and, while congratulating him, United captain Fernandes reminded the Danish striker of his responsibilities in an eye-catching post-match interview.

Hojlund has nine goals and four assists in 46 appearances in all competitions for United this season, and his problems are representative of the team as a whole. Ruben Amorim’s six took 25 shots in total against their opponents, who were down to 10 men for the final 20 minutes, but only scored late on.
“We could do better,” Amorim told Sky Sports. “We created opportunities, but we need to improve around the box. It’s the small things. We must recognize which foot is in play, whether crossing or one-on-one. We need to comprehend the game in that manner.”
