Bruno Fernandes has demonstrated that Manchester United players still hold Jadon Sancho in high respect by applauding the winger’s outstanding debut for Chelsea.
Sancho, 24, struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford and had a public spat with manager Erik ten Hag, which led to his expulsion from the first team.
The England winger was loaned to Borussia Dortmund in quest of greater playing time, and despite doing admirably in Germany, he landed a deadline-day loan move to Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea obligated to buy him for £25 million next summer.

Sancho made an immediate impact at Chelsea, setting up Christopher Nkunku’s winner over Bournemouth on Saturday after coming off the bench at halftime. Fernandes, his former teammate, was quick to applaud him, reacting to Sancho’s Instagram post praising the victory with a photo of himself and Nkunku.
According to the Mirror, Sancho stated that he was “delighted” to win his Chelsea debut, and Fernandes commented: “Some player you [fire emoji] keep that smile.”
Fernandes’ comments have shone a light on Sancho’s feelings despite the sour conclusion to his time at United and the battle with Ten Hag, after Sancho basically labeled Ten Hag a liar by rejecting Ten Hag’s claims that he wasn’t up to standard in training sessions.
Sancho was revitalized during his loan stay at Dortmund, when he started 18 games, scored a couple of goals, and set up two more, solidifying his place as a key player and appearing in the 2-0 Champions League final loss to Real Madrid.
