Bruno Fernandes provided a cheeky training ground message to Kobbie Mainoo, as the fellow midfielder works his way back to match fitness following his welcome return from injury.
The midfielder has not played in almost six weeks owing to a muscle injury suffered against Aston Villa, and he has missed Manchester United’s last eight games as a result. He was so not called up by England this month. According to Manchester Evening News.
However, there is hope that he will be able to make his comeback against Ipswich Town on Sunday afternoon, Ruben Amorim’s first match as head coach. Mainoo finished Amorim’s first training session on Monday, and he was observed having a private conversation with the new head coach.
It’s uncertain how involved he’ll be this weekend given his recent comeback from injury. Amorim is anticipated to use the same 3-4-3 structure that helped him succeed at Sporting CP, leaving only two central midfield slots available.

Manuel Ugarte played in Amorim’s system while at Lisbon, but he only has a few days to prepare for Ipswich after returning to England from Uruguay duty. Fellow pivot Casemiro has been at Carrington all week after being rejected by Brazil yet again.
The 30-year-old resorted to social media after winning a training game. He posted a photo of his buddies and sent a snarky message to Mainoo, who appeared to be in the losing group.
Fernandes commented, “Winning team [bicep emoji].” Try again next time, @kobbiemainoo.” Mainoo’s participation in the game shows that he is improving his fitness and could play against Ipswich if deemed ready.
