England international Bukayo Saka is reportedly set to earn £15m a year with a new long-term Arsenal contract.
The 21-year-old has continued to go from improve under Mikel Arteta and has been a driving force in the Arsenal’s Premier League title charge.
Saka scored twice and assisted once in Arsenal’s 4-1 thrashing of Crystal Palace two weekends ago, becoming the first player in the Premier League this season to reach double figures in goals and assists.
The England international has 13 goals and 10 assists from 38 appearances in all competitions this season, as Arsenal are eight points clear of Manchester City at the top of the league despite having played one more game.
Saka’s contract situation has been a major topic for debate for some months, as he is set to become a free agent at the end of next season.
However, following a recent breakthrough in negotiations, the attacker is likely to sign a new long-term contract, which will certainly include a major wage increase.
According to the Daily Mail, Saka will earn over £15m per year when he signs a new contract, as Arsenal raises his weekly pay to £300,000, reflecting his status as one of the club’s most important players.
The £15m-a-year contract includes bonuses and performance-related add-ons, making him one of the Arsenal’ highest-paid players of all time.

Manchester City and Liverpool are reported to be keeping a close eye on developments, and there were fears that Saka might leave if Arsenal failed to qualify for the Champions League again.
Saka has 36 goals and 39 assists in 169 games for Arsenal since graduating from the club’s youth ranks, and he has already won the FA Cup and Community Shield in red and white.
