Bundesliga Club Confirm Death Of German Coach At Age 33

Bundesliga club, Eintracht Frankfurt have reportedly confirmed the death of their Under 19 head coach Helge Rasche.

In a statement posted on social media, the club wrote: “Eintracht Frankfurt is devastated by the loss of U19 head coach Helge Rasche.

“The 33-year-old lost his life in a traffic accident yesterday. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.”

German rivals Borussia Dortmund replied to the post, writing: “We too mourn the loss of Helge Rasche and would like to express our deepest sympathy.

“Our thoughts are with him, his family and loved ones. Rest in peace.”

According to BILD, Rasche was driving a white Hyundai on a road southwest of Frankfurt, between Dietzenbach and Rodgau.

They alleged that after a junction leading to a gravel works, his automobile off the road and collided with a tree.

Images that the outlet was able to gather demonstrated that the Hyundai was a total write off following the collision, with the front end collapsing.

He reportedly suffered severe injuries in the crash and passed away there.

The news of Rasche’s passing reached the Frankfurt players on Thursday.

2020 saw Rasche join Eintracht’s youth division. He was elevated to head coach of the U17 and U19 squads in the youth Bundesliga in 2023.

He was in the dug-out for five games in this season’s U19 youth league (Group D), where they are currently placed second with 10 points.

Rasche had been getting his team ready for their September 14 home match against Darmstadt 98.
