Regarding Alexander-Arnold, there is no definitive decision.
However, the England international has not yet agreed to a new contract and is undoubtedly a summer target for Real Madrid if his current contract expire and he become a free agent.
Liverpool would be negligent if they didn’t at least consider alternative options, and Frimpong seems to be one of the players they may target, even if keeping the homegrown star is the preferred option.
According to Sky Sport Switzerland, Frimpong has already “given his approval” to a potential transfer and is interested in joining the Reds.
Although the English club and Leverkusen are rumored to have solid connections that might assist discussions, there is yet no official offer.
However, Frimpong’s high price tag can be a problem for the English club. Leverkusen may want for about €60 million (£49.75 million), reports 90 Min.
Next week, Frimpong will celebrate turning 24.
He has mostly flourished as a wing-back for Leverkusen, displaying his attacking prowess as he finished the previous season with 26 goals and assists in all competitions.
As of right now, 2024–2025 is nine.
