Following the successful placement of Chidi Stanley Nwabuisi with Besiktas of Turkey, Managing Director of Buruj Sports Academy Salaudeen Waheed has revealed that his players and officials are expected to take part in next month’s Football Camp billed to hold in the United Kingdom where other aspiring footballers will have the chance to impress European scouts.
According to the sports administrator, a contingent of 25 personnel including players and officials will depart the country next month for the camp.
He said the camp which is expected to run for ten days in England will see his team play series of friendly games with some Premier League club academies.
“We have received invitation to take part in the UK Football Camp next month and we are seriously preparing for the trip to England. The coaches are working hard and the players are also in good shape”, says Waheed.
He also revealed that only players between the ages 17 and 19 years will be part of the team to England for the camp.
“We will also welcome partnership from some clubs that have good discipline here in Nigeria to see how their players can also benefit from the trip”, he added.
It would be recalled that the team recently embarked on a trip to Cardiff, Wales to feature in the Welsh Cup tournament organised by Team Tour Direct and it was a good experience for the players.
