Buruj Sports Academy players set for BorehamWood trials

English National League side Boreham Wood Football Club will welcome players of Buruj Sports Academy on trials in London on Thursday (today), Buruj’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Salaudeen Waheed, has revealed.

 

As, Buruj, the English International Super Cup champions, round off their tour of the United Kingdom, the Hertfordshire-based fifth-tier club is delighted to have youngsters of the Lagos-based academy at their facility, giving them the opportunity to play professionally in England.

 

Speaking after he concluded  arrangements with the General Manager of Boreham Wood Mathew Hunter, Dr Salaudeen said his relationship with Boreham Wood Football Club started years ago and it was easy for him to convince the club to admit the Buruj squad into their programme.

 

“Boreham Wood is kind enough to take the entire squad for the trials and I’m sure the boys will impress their handlers on Thursday going by the spirit and commitment they’ve  shown since we moved from Manchester to London.

“I have some much faith in the team because the talent is there. It is all about giving players opportunity no matter what it takes and this is why Buruj Sports Academy is different,” Dr Salaudeen said.

 

He added that Boreham Wood who have an astro turf pitch and good facilities is the training ground of choice and their success story has seen potential developed through the acclaimed Boreham Wood PASE Academy.
