Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu hopes to join Premier League leaders Chelsea this summer.
Calhanoglu has attracted interest from across Europe after scoring six goals in 14 Bundesliga appearances this season.
The 22-year-old is currently serving a four-month suspension as punishment for breaching a contract with Turkish club Trabzonspor.
However, the Turkey international remains optimistic over his future and is targeting a move to Antonio Conte’s side in the summer.
‘God willing, I will be a Chelsea player next season,’ Calhanoglu told Turksh newspaper Fanatik.
‘There are also a number of other clubs interested in signing me.’
Calhanoglu was handed his four-month ban by FIFA earlier this month following a dispute between Trabzonspor and the midfielder’s former club Karlsruher.
Calhanoglu originally agreed to join the Turkish club as a teenager but reneged on the deal and instead signed a contract extension with Karlsruher.
He eventually left the German club to join Hamburg in 2013 before sealing a move to Bayer Leverkusen the following season.
Chelsea are known to have sent scouts to watch the midfielder play earlier this season and Calhanoglu will no doubt be keen to join the Blues, given their current position as Premier League leaders.
Antonio Conte’s side remain nine points clear of Tottenham at the top of the league after beating cross-city rivals Arsenal 3-1 on Saturday.
