Carlo Ancelotti Speaks Out On ‘Nightmare’ Pep Guardiola Ahead Of Man City Vs Real Madrid

Carlo Ancelotti has hailed Pep Guardiola as ‘the best manager out there’ and a ‘horror’ to prepare for ahead of Real Madrid’s match against Manchester City on Tuesday night.

The two European giants face off in the Champions League knockout round, with the first leg in Manchester before a journey to Madrid next Wednesday.

Neither team performed particularly well in the group stage, therefore one will be eliminated before the last 16 in the revised competition. Reported By Metro.

The Premier League winners have struggled to fire in all competitions this season, but Ancelotti will not underestimate them, knowing full well what a formidable team and management they have.

In recent years, the teams have played eight times since the start of 2020, with City winning four and Real claiming two victories and two games ending level. Ancelotti described the game as a “Clasico,” stating that City is one of the best teams in Europe, regardless of their form. He added that it is always a headache for City and that they have the best manager out there.

‘The team that passes this round has the potential to advance further in the competition. The Champions League has been won by the winner of this tie the previous three years. Perhaps that will happen this year as well.

Ancelotti’s club is not struggling domestically, as they are now top of La Liga, but City has performed poorly in all competitions, ranking fifth in the Premier League.

‘It surprised me that we’re in the playoffs,’ he remarked. “It’s our fault, but it’s a little surprising we have to play this game when it could be a semi-final.”
