Carragher, Henry Make Lukaku Predictions

Premier League legends Jamie Carragher and Thierry Henry have made their predictions concerning where they believe embattled Chelsea Striker Romelu Lukaku would be next season.

Football.London reports that Lukaku was heavily discussed in Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel’s press conference ahead of the club’s Round of 16 Champions League game with Lille which ended 2-0 in favour of the Blues .

Lukaku only made seven touches in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

As a result,he lost his place in the starting lineup Against Lille.

“Yes also (that),it was not the moment after the match where everybody was focused on the new touches that he had to put him right into the next fire.” Said Thomas Tuchel. “It was the moment to take a step back. That was the decision and that’s it,’ said Tuchel in his post match conference.

“You can clearly see we have a strong win and performance. It was a tough match and almost every question is about Romelu.

“The focus is huge. There were none other players who did not play. We should never forget we consider this a team sport and the 11 guys who play do everything to commit fully to what we plan and to commit fully to their teammates and those on the bench have to do the same and this is how it works.”

“Especially at Chelsea and especially for us and this is how we win Football matches.”

Delving deeper into the matter and closely looking at issues surrounding Lukaku at Chelsea Thierry Henry had this to say “For Rom to adapt to how they play it takes time.

“From the start,I questioned this as a coach, how is he going to fit into this team.”Henry said on CBS’s Champions League coverage.

“When you go and get Romelu Lukaku, you have to either give him time to adapt or change the way you play.

“No it’s not normal, regardless of if the coach likes you or doesn’t like you that shouldn’t happen. It did happen and they have to move forward.”
