Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has reportedly advised the Reds to replace Mohamed Salah with Brentford winger, Bryan Mbeumo.
Mbuemo, 25, scored his 14th Premier League goal of the season in Sunday’s dramatic 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace, and he has already been linked to Arsenal, Manchester United, and Newcastle this season.
Brentford are in a challenging position ahead of this summer’s transfer window since the Cameroon international, who was born in France, has a contract that expires in 2026.
Salah’s contract with Liverpool is set to end in just five months, so that’s when he might leave.

The 32-year-old recently stated that negotiations to prolong his stay at Anfield have not advanced and that, at the moment, he will leave the club on a free transfer, just like teammates Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold could.
According to The Mirror, revealing that he is a “huge fan” of Mbeumo, who arrived from French club Troyes for a club-record £5.9 million in 2019, Carragher would not be opposed to signing him.
“You feel with Brentford signings or Brighton because they’re ahead of the game, everyone is always a little bit, ‘What do they know that we missed?'” the ex-Liverpool defender told Sky Sports.
“I think of my old club with the situation regarding Mohamed Salah, a left-footed player on the right side, who can fit the bill?
“He [Mbeumo] is someone whose name that always crops up because of his ability and the club he is at. The things they look at are probably similar to Liverpool.
“(I’m a) Huge fan of his, huge problem and he caused Liverpool huge problems last weekend.”
