Enzo Maresca was named as Chelsea’s new manager on Monday, and the Italian appears to be ready to shake up the squad in order to bring in new players.
The Blues have signed the former Leicester City manager to a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge, following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino last month, who took the club to sixth place before leaving after just one season in charge.

Maresca, who won the Championship with Leicester this season and was Pep Guardiola’s assistant during Manchester City’s treble-winning campaign a year ago, is now working to reshape Chelsea’s expensively formed squad.
According to , Maresca is willing to sell four players for a total of £145 million in order to free up finances for future acquisitions.
Defender Benoit Badiashile might be the first to leave after failing to meet expectations following his £33 million signing from Monaco in January 2023, with AC Milan reportedly keen in the 23-year-old.
According to the source, Maresca is glad to let goalkeeper Robert Sanchez leave since the 44-year-old wants to hire a stopper with superior footwork. Sanchez was a £25 million signing last summer and is expected to have suitors in the Premier League and Spain.
Another throwaway player is thought to be Marc Cucurella, who arrived from Brighton for £60 million last summer but has yet to live up to his price. Manchester United and Aston Villa have been linked to the 25-year-old.
Manchester United has been connected with a £25 million offer for the England under-21 international, and if all four fetch the prices Chelsea is hoping for, the club could earn £145 million.
