Chelsea Approach Inter For Andre Onana

Chelsea are reportedly seeking a move for Inter Milan goal-keeper, Andre Onana ahead of the summer transfer window.

With Mauricio Pochettino set to be appointed as the manager of the club, the Cameroonian has been touted for a move to the west London club.

Journalist Ben Jacobs claims that the 27-year-old shot-stopper from Inter Milan, who is expected to cost over £40 million, has already been in contact with the Blues.

According to rumors, Chelsea will be active in the goalkeeper market. As both Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga’s futures are in doubt.

At the end of the current campaign, Onana is expected to depart Inter. And he has no shortage of suitors. Although nothing is firm or far-reaching at the moment, according to Jacobs. Chelsea still seem to be in the lead because they have already contacted the Cameroon international.

“Chelsea have reached out already and spoken to Onana at Inter. And there’s nothing necessarily concrete or advanced at this point. Because Pochettino would have to input to any kind of signing,”Jacob told Give Me Sport.

“Particularly goalkeeper, as it’s perhaps the most intriguing signing for Chelsea in many ways. Because they already have two strong challengers for the number one. But that’s without any clarity for Mendy and Kepa as to who actually would be the number one and a new manager is going to have to input into that as well.”
