Journalist Ekrem Konur claims that Chelsea are now planning a new deal for the France international, who has only started 12 Premier League games in the 2021-22 season.

The report adds that a number of clubs are keeping a close eye on the situation and will be prepared to table offers if Kante opts against extending his stay at Stamford Bridge, with Paris Saint-Germain believed to be one of them.

Kante has amassed two goals and two assists from 24 games this term and has won the Premier League, Champions League, Club World Cup, Europa League and FA Cup during his time at Chelsea.
