Enzo Maresca, the manager of Chelsea, has stated that he fully supports Mykhailo Mudryk after the Ukrainian international winger failed a drug test.
Mudryk is temporarily barred from all competition until more information is obtained after testing positive for a prohibited drug in a regular urine sample, although Maresca is adamant that he did not take the supplement on purpose.

“We trust Misha,” Maresca said. “When this kind of thing happens, you need to support your player in all aspects.
Misha is a Chelsea player, and it’s my duty to be in contact with him. Me, the club, and his teammates are all there. Trust means we believe Misha.”
On Instagram, Mudryk addressed the matter, claiming he had not intentionally used any prohibited substances and describing the findings of his “A” sample as a “complete shock.”
Athletes who are found to have intentionally used a forbidden drug may be banned for up to four years under UK anti-doping laws, reports Inside Football.
However, the punishment could be as minor as a reprimand if the athlete shows no serious fault and the infraction concerns a tainted product.
“I think he’s going to come back; the only thing is we don’t know when,” Maresca said.
“Any player in the world needs support when something like this happens.
It’s not about their age or nationality – whether he’s English, Italian, or Ukrainian.
Everyone needs help in moments like these, and we are here to support Misha in every way we can.”
