Manchester United have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Willian as Chelsea would consider an offer for the Brazilian, according to reports.
The Independent claims that Antonio Conte wants six new signings this summer and his spending spree could go above £200 million.
In order to fund their new acquisitions, Chelsea will need to sell some of their first-team players and the Premier League champions would now consider a bid from United for Willian.
Last week, reports claimed that United’s hierarchy are exploring the possibility of signing Gareth Bale from Real Madrid, but Jose Mourinho is said to have made Willian his preferred candidate for a wide attacking role at Old Trafford.
Mourinho wanted Willian to join United last summer but the Portuguese was unable to land the 28-year-old from Stamford Bridge.
Last month, reports claimed that Mourinho was confident that a deal with Chelsea for could be struck this summer.
The 28-year-old has started only 14 Premier League games this season as Antonio Conte has preferred Pedro and Eden Hazard as his wide options in attack.
But despite having played only 1441 minutes in the Premier League this term, Willian has still managed to make an impact with seven goals and two assists.
