Chelsea are set to hold fresh talks with Alex Sandro on Monday as the Juventus star reportedly closes in on a £60million move to the Premier League.
Antonio Conte is determined to bolster his squad at Stamford Bridge with three or four significant signings and Sandro has emerged as a top target.
The former Italy boss hopes to bring the 26-year-old to west London, along with Roma’s Antonio Rudiger and Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
According to the Daily Telegraph, negotiations over Sandro’s move are planned for Monday – Chelsea hope the talks will spark a breakthrough in their pursuit of the Brazil international.
Juventus are hoping to keen Sandro but know the Premier League champions are in the driving seat, able to offer the left-back a contract worth over £100,000-a-week.
The Blues also face competition from French giants Paris Saint-Germain but Sando is understood to be keen on a move to England.
Conte is also closing in on a deal to bring Bakayoko to Chelsea – the Frenchman’s arrival in the capital will likely instigate Nemanja Matic’s departure with Jose Mourinho keen to make him a Manchester United player.
Despite helping Chelsea win two titles in the last three years, Matic is on his way out of Stamford Bridge and a £40m fee is believed to have been agreed.
