Conversations for Anthony Gordon have been ongoing between Everton and Chelsea and it is reported Chelsea are now willing to increase their offer.
Earlier this month, Everton rejected Chelsea’s initial bid of around £40m-£45m for the Everton no. 10.
A new contract from Everton still remains on the table for Gordon, whose current Everton deal expires in June 2025.
Frank Lampard has to strengthen his forward options before the transfer window closes, and a prospective deal would provide the funds to do so.
This summer, Thomas Tuchel’s side have spent a league-high £176.5m on new recruits, mostly on three first-team players.
Marc Cucurella (£63m), Raheem Sterling (£47.5m), and Kalidou Koulibaly (£34m) are the new additions to the team.
