Chelsea have expressed an interest in Borussia Dortmund‘s Henrikh Mkhitaryan as they prepare for a summer of change under Antonio Conte, according to reports.
The 27-year-old has enjoyed a fabulous season under Thomas Tuchel as the former Mainz manager has finally brought the best out of the Armenia international.
Playing alongside Marco Reus in support of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the former Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder has come into his own and fulfilled the potential that he promised when he signed for Dortmund under Jurgen Klopp in 2013.
And according to the Daily Mirror, Chelsea are now interested in signing the No.10 this summer even though they will have no Champions League football on offer.
With Conte arriving at Stamford Bridge after managing Italy at this summer’s European Championship, there is expected to be plenty of change at the Blues and Mkhitaryan is just the latest name in a long list of players to be linked to Chelsea.
The 27-year-old has been in stunning form in the Bundesliga this season, scoring 10 goals and creating 72 chances – which is the most at Dortmund.
He has also assisted 13 goals which is not only the most at Dortmund but it’s a figure that no other player in the Bundesliga can match.
