Chelsea are reportedly waiting to discover the extent to which Noni Madueke is going to be out for due to a hamstring injury as Enzo Maresca’s attacking injury crisis worsens.
After getting off to a strong start in front of England manager Thomas Tuchel, Madueke was substituted early in Friday night’s 3-0 loss at Brighton.
When the winger was about to be taken off for Jadon Sancho, he made a shredding motion in the direction of the substitutes’ bench and signaled that he needed to be replaced. He then went straight down the tunnel.
According to the Evening Standard, the club will now evaluate Madueke after Maresca confirmed a hamstring issue shortly after the game and said the 22-year-old “will be out for a while.”
