Chelsea have taken the first steps towards making a summer bid to sign Isco from Real Madrid, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is claiming that Chelsea have now made contact with the Spaniard’s agent as Antonio Conte begins to turn his attentions towards bolstering his attacking options at Stamford Bridge this summer.
The same story cites a report from Spanish newspaper Marca, in which Manchester City are now believed to be in pole position to sign the attacking midfielder.
The report in The Sun also claims that Serie A champions Juventus are also monitoring Isco’s situation at Real Madrid.
Isco is believed to frustrated about his lack of playing time at Real Madrid this season, with the 24-year-old having been limited to just 11 La Liga starts so far this season.
Chelsea should have no problem in attracting some top talent to Stamford Bridge this summer, following the Blues’ impressive start to the season.
The west London club are the heavy favourites to win the Premier League after building an eight-point lead at the top of the table.
