Chelsea Get ‘Green Light’ As £20M Deal Close In

Chelsea are reportedly closing in on the signature of Argentinian wonderkid, Aaron Anselmino from Club Atletico Boca Juniors.

The 19-year-old centre-back’s upcoming journey to the Premier League has been updated by Fabrizio Romano, who previously stated that the Blues are “on a mission” to lure him to England.

Taking to X,the Italian journalist and transfer specialist wrote: “Understand Chelsea already got green light from Aaron Anselmino on the contract and project, no issues on personal terms. Chelsea are in conversations with Boca Juniors over fee as current clause is in excess of €25m (£19.7m) with taxes.”

Among the young central defenders available this summer, the rising star is highly prized. And it looks the Blues will now overcome European powerhouses AC Milan and Real Madrid in addition to Premier League rivals Manchester United.

This year, the defender signed a new deal with Boca Juniors that increased his release clause to £20 million.

Romano has previously stated that Chelsea hoped to bring this individual in. And the Italian journalist’s most recent reports indicate that they had been successful in doing so.

Anselmino enrolled in Boca’s academy at the age of 12 and he made his senior debut the previous year. After that, he has made eleven appearances and scored one goal.

Juan Roman Riquelme, the president of the Argentinian club, has given the 19-year-old plenty of credit for his abilities. He highlighted his strong work ethic and predicted that he will become an important player in the future.

Anselmino was also described as a ‘special talent’ by the analyst Ben Mattinson while the Argentinian media called him a “tower that clears everything head-on and almost always prevails in one-on-one situations.”
