RB Leizpig’s Castello Lukeba has been identified as one of the players Real Madrid is considering bolstering in central defense next summer, and they are currently in the process of identifying potential options. However, as is often the case, their interest is not solely their own.
Lukeba, 21, signed from Olympique Lyon for €30 million last summer, but his achievements in the Bundesliga and Champions League have already caught the attention of the big fish. He has four years left on his Leizpig deal, so they will not be in a hurry to sell, but Real Madrid reportedly scouted Lukeba during the German club’s match against Atletico Madrid.

In England, his name has been raised by Chelsea, and Fabrizio Romano stated to Caught Offside that England is interested.
“There are no talks or negotiations underway,” Romano revealed on The Daily Briefing.
Lukeba has been attracting attention from prominent teams in Spain and England for months. However, after losing Simakan in August, I do not believe it will be simple for any club to get Lukeba from Leipzig in January.”
Los Blancos are also considering Valencia centre-back Yarek Gasiorowski, who has a €45 million release clause. Real Madrid would have to be convinced that Lukeba is their future player, since Leipzig would undoubtedly want at least twice as much for the Frenchman. It is also worth noting that Real Madrid is still a long way from making any decisions.
