According to reports, the Blues approached Brighton about both Carlos Baleba and Georginio Rutter, but the Seagulls reportedly said “no” to both possible trades.
Despite Robert Sanchez’s lackluster play, Chelsea has recently raided Brighton with success, adding Moises Caicedo as a stellar addition to their midfield.
In actuality, Brighton frequently sells its top players, and recent high-profile acquisitions have included Marc Cucurella and Alexis Mac Allister. Graham Potter was also hired by Chelsea from there, but he was unable to duplicate his success at Stamford Bridge.
Although Rutter and Baleba have shown promise this season and might be the next big stars to watch, Chelsea has not been successful in their attempts to sign them thus far.
