Chelsea and Manchester United reportedly made a loan offer to Brighton and Hove Albion for teenage striker Evan Ferguson this month.
According to CaughtOffside, United are said to be searching for an attacker who is on the same level as Harry Kane. Given Brighton’s exorbitant asking price this month, Ferguson appears to be over budget. So the Old Trafford club submitted a request for a short-term deal.
Ferguson, however, has been approached by Chelsea to sign on loan this month through the end of the campaign. Following that, their primary objective would be to sign Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, who has been linked to them for an extended period of time.
Ferguson has six goals this season, but he has been in and out of Roberto De Zerbi’s starting eleven. This season, Ferguson has only made 11 appearances in Premier League games.
However, Tony Bloom, the owner of Brighton, is not open to any such arrangement. he has insisted on an open sale in case the Republic of Ireland international, 19, decides to leave the outfit.
Even if these offers are turned down, Ferguson is still a potential candidate for United and the Blues in the run-up to the summer transfer window.

The Premier League striker is more likely to sign with the Red Devils than Chelsea. Victor Osimhen is the west London club’s top transfer target. And they are preparing a summer transfer move for the Napoli talisman.
The Seagulls will continue to have total control over the situation because Ferguson has a contract with the club that expires in 2029.
