Antonio Conte has warned his Chelsea player to be prepared for a difficult test against Swansea City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues are sitting eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table ahead of the visit of the Welsh outfit in their first top-flight clash in a fortnight.
Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw with promoted side Burnley at Turf Moor in their last Premier League game before Conte’s side eased to a 2-0 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup fifth round last weekend.
The west London side have only lost one of their last 19 games in the Premier League to leave Conte’s side well clear at the top of the table.
Swansea, on the other hand, have won three of their last four games since the appointment of Paul Clement as their new manager, only lost 2-1 at Manchester City.
Speaking at his pre-match media conference on Friday afternoon, Conte warned his Chelsea players about the threat posed by Swansea.
“He has had a great impact on the team. Also, with the transfer window, they reinforced the team, and we must pay great attention.
“If you watch their games against Liverpool, against Man City, you understand the difficulty of the game. I am sure my players understand this. They have worked very well to face them in the right way.
“They are very compact defensively, very dangerous in offensive situations, in set pieces. It will be a really tough game.”
